Policing in our community

Bexley has suffered for too long without its fair share of police officers. And the Mayor’s tri-borough policy that shut local police stations has made things much worse. So I’m proud of my track record opposing these devastating closures.

As your local MP, I’ll work directly with the government to make sure that we get our fair share of the 2,000 new police officers in London. And I’ll campaign to scrap the tri-borough policy. So we can return to community policing and make sure local residents feel safer.

Following news from the London Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) that they have decided to close the police's public counter at Marlowe House in Sidcup, Louie French MP has met with new Borough Superintendent for Bexley, Superintendent Simon Corbin, to raise concerns on the behalf of
