Labour's war on Bexley motorists continues. The Government plans to increase the Dart Charge to £3.50 per crossing for most drivers from 1 September 2025.
The toll was first introduced to fund the construction of the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, but it was paid for more than two decades ago. Labour's latest hike means more than 180,000 motorists per day will have to fork out more to cross the Thames.
It follows Sadiq Khan's decision to expand the daily £12.50 Ulez charge across Greater London, impose a toll of up to £4 at the Blackwall Tunnel, and increase the Congestion Charge to £18.
Labour's driving charges are unfair and unaffordable for working people, who rely on driving to get to work, visit family and friends, and go shopping.
Louie French MP opposes Labour's plan to increase the Dart Charge and calls for Bexley residents to be included in discount schemes. If you agree, please sign the petition today.
