Support Eltham Bingo!

Louie French and local Conservatives in Eltham have launched a new campaign to show support for bingo staying in Eltham.

This important community asset on Eltham Hill has hosted bingo since 1967, employs local people and has roughly 2000 visitors each week.

Labour run Greenwich Council is exploring changing the site to housing, which based on early plans, would see a large number of flats built at this location with minimal parking. This will also likely cause more parking issues on neighbouring roads.

Whilst we support the need to provide local homes for local people, we believe that the loss of this site will have a negative impact on the community, particularly on the elderly because of the related issues of isolation and loneliness.

We have set up a Facebook page called Support Eltham Bingo where you can keep up to date with the latest news on the campaign and see some of the amazing support we have received from the community already. www.facebook.com/SupportElthamBingo/

If you would like to join the campaign please get in touch with Louie via the contact page or visit our Facebook page.

Thank you!
